Nicole Wakeman

Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.

I create paintings to draw the viewer in for a good long stay, to linger and discover the work’s individual elements are as compelling as the whole. My high-chroma abstractions are designed to connect with the viewer, to elicit an up-close interaction with the materials, and an experience of emotion from a distance. The visual energy and complexity in my work springs from the alchemy of color, texture, movement and depth.

Creating a piece that beautifies an environment and touches someone is a gift.

An award winning, professional artist, I show throughout the East Bay, including the Bankhead Theater, Wente Estate Tasting Room and Cuda Ridge Winery in Livermore; the Pleasanton Firehouse Arts Center; the Village Gallery Theater in Danville; Lafayette Town Hall Theater, the Alameda Museum; East Bay Open Studios in Jack London Square and ProArts Gallery in Oakland; and am also a contributing artist in the Blackburn & Friends art collective based in San Francisco.
